Hello dear GiGers! Did you all have a lovely weekend? I’m pretty sure some of you are enjoying the sun wherever you are, while I’m here wrapped in a blanket and with our heating on, again!! Don’t ask me, but we’re having some very typical British weather and it feels like we’re skipping summer this year! π¦ We had one week of pure sunshine and sweat and now the temperatures have dropped. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.
So, although this is a little bit late to share it here on the blog, we’d still like to let you know the winner of our Spring Fever! We announced this already on our Facebook wall during the time when most of our Crew were unavailable to post here but we could’t delay the announcement and had to do it there instead… but we don’t want to keep you waiting here either, so here goes. (Our hosts Mari from I Love Green Inspiration and Caity from Moi Contre La Vie were the judges and picked the winner out of all the entries*)
…and our Spring Fever Bella is…
Kai from www.kaigrafia.com
Her entry is titled: Fee de Fleurs
Isn’t that floral headband/dress just screams Spring (and that’s Kai’s own creation too!)? Our hosts fell in love with the whole creation and so did I! She’s definitely channeling the floral fairy vibe here, don’t you think?
Click away on the link above for her post to view more of the pictures and close up looks!
Big congratulations to Kai as our GiG Spotlight #5 Winner! And thank you for the lovely members who joined the Spring Fever Spotlight! Until next time!Β β₯
xx Donah
Sweet Jelly Bean
Note:
*Now although the initial spotlight stated 3 winners, the hosts decided to pick one on this occasion, which means next event, there will be another prize waiting for you!! As it turned out, due to so much buzz about Spring, everyone was so busy to actually join the event (incl. me though I did a spring-inspired set over at Polyvore LOL) and we had less entries than expected.. so we thought it would be a good idea to once again offer a price for our next spotlight competition!

the floral headband is stunning π
Totally dissapointed with the decision of only one winner instead of three. it was not a wise decision to change your mind just because only a few participants participated. Imagine those writers who spent hours to write the entry and hoped to be the top three winners. Sorry, but I think it was not professional of you!
anyway Congrats for Kai. beautifully gorgeous!
Hi Nina! Probably you forgot that GIG is a group totally made by girls who love blogging and supporting other girls who have the same passion. All the activities we promote are thought and planned “with care” to enjoy and fit everybody. We spend a lot of time discussing and listening to everyone’s opinion.
I’d like to remind you:
1. When we offer a gift for an activity is totally sponsored by GIG crew. In this case Caity from Moi Contre la Vie paid the gift and the shipping costs (I’m not going to tell you how expensive it was). No brand or company supports GIG at the moment.
2. You should already know that there is a common, often unwritten, rule in International Competition that the jury can even decide not to assign the prize if there is no entry who perfectly suits the topic.
Anyway we are very happy to see that the other 700 members seem to have understood our reasons giving us the possibility to offer new prizes for future activities.
One of the major lessons we’ve learned from blogging is that you can’t please everyone… we try to do our best, EVER, but we know there will always be someone not happy
All my best
mari from I love green inspiration
P.S. I’m very sad to read such a direct and (sorry to say) “aggressive”message who seems not to leave any space to dialogue and explanations. Two things we consider at the basis of every relationship.
Beautiful!
